Must be securely fixed into sound rafter ends, not just skinned over rot. ### Soffit board The horizontal board under the eaves. Needs continuous or spaced ventilation to keep the roof void breathing. ### Felt support tray (eaves protector) A rigid tray that carries the felt over the fascia and into the gutter — stops the felt sagging and rotting the fascia.
